Eligibility Requirements
Instructor Training Candidates must:
- be at least 18 years of age for Registered Certification
- be at least 21 years of age for Advanced Certification
- have Adult and Child CPR and First Aid certification
- be a current PATH Intl. member in good standing
- have sufficient horse handling experience and working knowledge to be able to competently work around a large number of horses, keeping both people and horses safe
- have sufficient riding experience to be able to safely walk, trot and canter/lope with proficiency on a variety of school horses
- have a strong desire to work with students with emotional, learning, physical and cognitive challenges
- be physically and educationally able and motivated to work hard
- be personally able to be a healthy, contributing and strong team member
- have good people skills with the ability to work with a large number of people with differing abilities, outlooks and experiences
