Touchstone Farm is a not-for-profit with Internal Revenue Service 501(c)3 status. We warmly welcome over 4,000 people annually through the farm gates, offering a rich variety of evidence-based equine programs for therapeutic riding and driving. We serve children, adults, and veterans challenged with a diverse array of disorders including autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, PTSD, TBI, and loss of limb. Most recently, we are offering a new group program for children struggling with the loss of a parent due to the opioid epidemic and other traumatic events such as sexual abuse, violence, and the terminal illness of a parent.
Mission: At Touchstone Farm, our mission, which we live by each day is to positively change lives through partnerships between horses and people of varying abilities, ages, and backgrounds!
We serve several groups that come from residential treatment centers such as Wediko Children’s Services, Nashua Children’s Services, Cedarcrest, Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Four Winds Farm, Lukas Community, Monadnock Family Services, and Sununu Youth Development Center. Also, youth support organizations and local school districts regularly send students to our equine therapeutic group programs.
We offer private able-bodied riding and driving lessons that dovetail into our Pony Farm summer camp. All of our students learn horsemanship and stable management skills as well as leadership and volunteerism. In addition to equine activities, our young girls attending camp enjoy the benefits of exercise, health, and overall well-being, including hiking, swimming, and enjoying the outdoors; unplugged and away from electronic devices each week.
We host year-round specialty weekends and facility rentals for the community to enjoy all of which culminate in building traditions that are both dynamic and timeless. Our professional staff passionately strives to empower individuals by healing hearts, enhancing health, teaching critical thinking, promoting personal wellness and fostering resiliency.
